All components—the polypropylene lid body, the silicone seals, and the removable straw—are dishwasher-safe when placed on the top rack. We recommend top-rack placement because the heating element in most dishwashers is located on the bottom, and excessive heat (above 80°C) can potentially warp plastic components over time, though the materials used are heat-resistant up to 100°C+. For the lid, simply place it upside down on the top rack so water can reach all surfaces and drain properly. The straw can be removed and placed separately, or you can use a dishwasher basket for small items to prevent it from falling through the rack. If you prefer hand-washing (which extends the life of all products), use warm soapy water and a small bottle brush or straw cleaning brush to reach inside the straw tube. The slider mechanism on the sip side should be moved back and forth a few times under running water to ensure no beverage residue remains in the track. For the Terracotta Orange tumbler body, we recommend hand-washing with warm soapy water and a long-handled bottle brush.
